"rear deflector" to the rescue

Yesterday I bought one of these.
It's a water/mud flap for the rear wheel of the bicycle. It's called a "rear deflector shield". I'm not going to pretend that the name didn't sway my selection when I picked this. Now my bike's carrying what I take to be a Star Wars reference! 8^)
